Medical Oncology
Medical Oncology is the treatment of cancer with medicine, such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy and hormones. Your medical oncologist will coordinate and direct your complete medical care plan. Our medical oncologists provide patients with several of the following services:
- Education for patients on their form of cancer and stage development
- Explanation of patients’ treatment options including recommendations and the development of a customized treatment plan that is best suited for them
- Monitoring of all patient care and treatment
The Florida Cancer Affiliates team works with patients to ensure they are receiving the best, individualized treatment plan possible. We closely monitor each patient’s progress and provide personalized education about their cancer and the possible side effects of chemotherapy.
